How to remove Hyperlinks.

Have you ever imported data into Excel exported from internet? Then you know how annoying it can be that some fields act as HTML links and open ups the internet browser when clicking in those fields. At lest do we often meet that problem, sheet clean of linked fields are often necessary to be able to do the planned tasks with the contents in the sheet.

This problem has an easy solution, just do this:

  1. Select all data where there are hyperlinks you want to get rid of. These fields normally have a different font colour than the rest of the sheet.
  2. Right click inside the frame of the selected data.
  3. Click “Remove Hyperlinks” from the pop-up menu

Attached you will find a PDF for print out and an Excel sheet containing a record set with one column containing data with hyperlinks. So please feel free to test.
